Application Environment
- • First application to be moved into cloud, Microsoft Azure cloud
- • Environment has 14 servers and Azure load balancers
- • Hosted using share point portal
- • Developed using, .NET, Ajax and WCF technology
- • Contents is dynamically displayed based on the profile, 60 over profiles
- • Access, another intranet application via VPN
- • Accessed via single sign-on and security controlled through ADFS
Challenges/Pain Points
- • Application accessed by students from across the globe
- • Only 70 users created in ADFS for testing, simulated 3000 users
- • Azure load balance logics to be change based on performance test reports.
- • Network has firewall and restricted ports
- • Contents for the portal is stored in the database, can it support the user base.
- • Application passes through cloud, VPN, ADFS and Intranet
